This is a set of marketing materials for the exhibit, Inner Spaces, by artist Njideka Akunyili Crosby. Crosby’s artwork is deeply personal and inspired by her hybrid cultural identity, having lived in both Nigeria and the U.S. The layered torn paper in the marketing materials references Crosby's signature art style, which involves multi-layered photocollages. Since the layered photos are such an important part of her style, I wanted to explore that with the visuals. I chose a slightly muted color palette because so many of the photos she uses are of her memories, and memories in pop culture are often depicted with a faded appearance.
